Here is the newest piece I finally finished. It’s been a work in progress for the past 9 months. Imagine the days when these amazing beasts roamed free across North America. The title comes from the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump which is both an archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage site known around the world. The Jump bears witness to a method of hunting practiced by Blackfoot native people of the North American plains for nearly 6,000 years who hunted bison by stampeding them over a precipice. There are many stories and legends about this place.
