Build your confidence, loosen up and let your creative energy out! Have you dabbled in painting and want to take your work to the next level but don't really know where to start? If so this painting workshop is for you! No more mixing paints and ending up with a muddy puddle of brown when you wanted purple, or just painting your entire canvas black to cover up a “mess”. Over come the obstacle of starting a painting by learning how to have fun making the first marks and to go with your flow!

What will we be doing?

You will learn the basics of colour theory and colour mixing including tips for tints and shades, color as value, and how to use complimentary colours. Students will bring a photo of their choice of any subject matter that they are inspired by. Together we will work on painting how you see versus just copying a photograph by using the power of colour, composition and varying your brushwork.

Prerequisites: You do not have to have extensive painting knowledge or experience to attend this workshop. It would be great if you have already attended a Paint Night Whistler Event so you have some basic knowledge but it is not required

COVID 19:

Physical distancing will be maintained at all times. All easels will be sanitized prior to your arrival. If you required a chair please bring your own.

Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting a little paint on - Due to covid 19 regulations I am not able to provide aprons as in the past so please wear something you can get paint on :-)
