This original painting is 18 inches by 18 inches. It is a bold contemporary piece. I created the Black Bear Painting as part of a collection of three iconic Whistler images. The entire collection includes the Whisky Jack, Black Bear and Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Each one is iconic to Whistler.
THE STORY:
The black bear calls Whistler home and I couldn't imagine life without them. These beautiful creatures are our neighbors and it's almost impossible not to run into them in the spring and fall in the valley when they are looking for food. We are so lucky to be able to see little cubs with their mumas turn into big fluffy adults.
