PREREQUISITES: You do not have to have extensive painting knowledge or experience to attend this workshop series. If you have already dabbled in painting or you have attended one of my Paint Nights then you can do this!

WHAT WILL WE LEARN:

Tuesday Jan 25th:
Creative Expression - Learn to loosen up and play with paint. I will lead you through a series of fun exercises in line, texture, pattern and shape - Can you dance and paint at the same time?

Tuesday Feb 1st:
Delve into the world of colour! Learn how to mix your paints and how to use colour to create an interesting painting - we will work on an abstract painting and learn how colour can make a huge difference in a successful painting

Tuesday Feb 8th:
Choose your own adventure - After gaining confidence we will use the lessons learned and apply them to create a painting from a photograph. Students will bring a photo of their choice of any subject matter that they are inspired by. Together we will work on painting how you see versus just copying a photograph by using the power of colour, composition and varying your brushwork. This day will be all about the sketch and the underpainting.

Tuesday Feb 16th:
We will work on finishing up the painting you started the week before.
