Build your confidence, loosen up, and learn new painting techniques with my 2 week intermediate painting series!

EXPERIENCE: This course is perfect for those with some painting, sketching, or mixed media experience. Basic color mixing knowledge is helpful, but guidance will be provided.

Location: ART POP - Creekside beside the Grocery store. Free underground parking. 

WHAT WILL WE LEARN: 

Week 1:
Kick things off with a fun, playful evening of painting! We’ll experiment with texture, layering, and mark-making as you learn to loosen up and create your  backgrounds. You'll start a small painting and get comfortable with the creative flow.

Week 2:
Building on your background from Week 1, we’ll dive into brushwork, diluted paint, washes, and color play to add in your middle and foreground elements. It’s all about trying new techniques and exploring simple, effective painting processes—so you can confidently finish your piece at home and take those skills with you beyond ART POP!

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • One Canvas 11x14" (approx -size may vary depending on whats available) 
  • A range of brushes and extra tools for mark making
  • Palette
  • Water Container
  • Easels

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Bring your usual acrylic supplies:

  • Pencils eraser and sharpener
  • Clothes you don't mind getting messy in
  • If you want to bring your own paints you are welcome to do so.
