Location: This event will be held at ART POP in Creekside. Located right beside the grocery store. Underground parking is free.
What will we be making: We will be creating a Lino print stamp out of a 4"x5" rubber block. Create a set of cards for the holidays, a special birthday, or just an image you love—it's up to you! No experience necessary; if you can draw a stick figure, you can do this. Many of our participants thought they "couldn't even draw," yet their results were amazing. Each student will print at least five cards and five matching envelopes during the workshop. Plus, you get to take your custom stamp home to print as many times as you like on paper or fabric.
How does it work?:
Prints are created by drawing or tracing an image onto a special rubber block, then cutting out the lines with a carving tool. Ink is applied with a roller. The design can then be printed onto various types of paper or fabric. Whether you prefer simple shapes and patterns or detailed images, the choice is yours.
You can either borrow the tools for this workshop or purchase them for $15 per person, so you can continue making prints at home. By the end of the last class, almost everyone bought their tools—it was that much fun!

If the organizer must cancel the event due to circumstances outside of their control all participants will be notified via e-mail and will be refunded the full amount.
Your Host
I majored in print making at OCAD in Toronto and did 4 years of silk screening, lino and wood cuts as well as stone etching. I was the 4th year Print Making award recipient for my graduating year.
